I’ve had the honor of officiating hundreds of weddings over the years, and every one is a story I carry with me. “My husband and I wanted to do the darn thing ASAP. I hopped on the web and found David’s profile on Thumbtack right away (I didn’t have the app to begin with). We are a young couple that didn’t know anything about the process of getting married and just hoped that we could get it done smoothly. I would have to say that the username “yourpastordude” had me feeling like “this is the guy”. And he was. I messaged David on a Wednesday and he responded right away letting us know he could marry us on Friday at 10am, which was perfect! Our ceremony was held in my backyard with just our two witnesses...and our dog...and our two cats :).
I really want to convey how clueless we were at pulling this off, and how seamless David made our special day. We felt so comfortable with him and we are so grateful for that. We knew that our last minute ceremony probably wasn’t uncommon, however I was nervous that we made it as if one wouldn’t know where to position themselves.
